our meetings and commended the Detachment for all that we do and all
our members.
The report of any “Member or Member’s Family sick or in distress” was
given and we were told Dave Katz’s wife, Carol, was due to go home,
but now has Covid. So, she’ll be in the hospital for another week.Dave
is doing alright and he called Charlene to Thank the Detachment for
the cards.Member Ted Jemas shared that his wife has been sick and has
been in and out of the hospital. And member Bob Dante fell recently
and apparently is doing better.
We missed a very opportunistic time to make some needed money. Then a
discussion took place regarding Rose Outings. These also are
opportunities for us to do fund raising. It’s felt that we have to
come together and chip in and get some rose outings done.
Dominick was the lead for the Saturday, May 21 (the day after we got
back from Washington DC.) Lake Hopatcong Block Party, but came down
with Covid. So the MCL was not present. We missed a very opportunistic
time to make some needed money. Then a discussion took place regarding
Rose Outings. These also are opportunities for us to do fund raising.
It’s felt that we have to come together and chip in and get some rose
outings done.
Discussion took place regarding needing members to ‘step up’ and help
out. Steve Ferman suggested a ‘Group Text’ to alert members if an
issue comes up where additional help is needed. With that, someone
could have possibly stepped in to help out that particular day. Steve
Ferman also ‘volunteered’ to become the Rose Outing Chairperson. Let’s
hear it for Steve and let’s start chipping in.
Gunny Monaco told us about the 8th & I bus trip. It was a great

thanked Tom Miller for stepping in to help with the bus trip.
