The new 2020 Audi that was at hole 16 was sponsored by Audi Mendham. Tony Oszmianski was sitting the hole waiting for a Hole in One. Tony and then later Bob Stalzer, Ed Moscariello and Mike Dougherty did the switch off of watching the car and hole for the day. In the long run, the golfers tried, but as they say, NO?CIGAR car. Audi Mendham is located on Main Street in Mendham.
In the afternoon as they were going around the course the sky let a bit of Sun poke through and it warmed up just a bit to about 70 degrees. No rain however for the day, so Chris was watching out for us.
Once the golfers started arriving back to the patio, there was still beer in the beer kegs and a vegetable platter was available as a snack. There was a cash bar which many enjoyed as well. A thank you was given, introductions made and special thanks to some of our sponsors. A special BOOTS framed print was presented to Mike McCorry & Walt Kret (John?) from the American Legion Post 155 and Ed Moscariello (John???) from VFW Post 5351 for their donations. Art Bowie did the invocation and Commandant Eddie Neas of the MCL shared a few words about 'What We Do'.
Joey MacDizon - Mobile Cigar lounge joined us to sell cigars. and everyone got ready for a delicious dinner.
Dinner was served - prime rib served buffet, penne vodka, vegetable and potatoes. Winners of the golf tournament were announced and prizes presented. Tricky Tray, Special raffle of a Celebrity Vehicle for the weekend & detailing of your personal vehicle was a big hit. Silent auction items were handed out. Golfers, MCL members and dinner only guests seemed liked they enjoyed the day.
Once the prizes were handed out, the guests started leaving around 7:30 (John?? Linda?) It all came to a scretching hault by 8pm and thankfully our 2020 L/Cpl Chris Cosgrove III Golf Outing was over. Until next year.......
