MCLEF GALA 2019

The Marines hit Wall Street!
Had a great night with the Marine Corps Law Enforcement Foundation, at Cipriani Wall Street in NY for their Gala.

This year we had the jeep with the 50 Cal and we did the flag raising on the stree.

Mission of MC-LEF

Thanks to our generous donors, MC-LEF currently establishes a $30,000 educational account for every child who loses a parent serving in the United States Marine Corps or any Federal Law Enforcement Agency. Since our founding in 1995, MC-LEF has awarded over $73 million in educational accounts and other humanitarian assistance to over 4000 recipients. We have only one paid employee and, therefore, the vast majority of our efforts are performed by a dedicated group of volunteers who run our various events. Additionally, all officers and board members are also volunteers and together, we are extremely efficient in running our organization so that donor funds are predominantly used to accomplish our mission of Educating the Children of Those Who Sacrificed All.

Golf Outing Coming Up - Need Assistance

Well members, we have a big undertaking coming up in a few months. The Chris Cosgrove III 12th Golf Outing is rapidly approaching.† It will be here on†Thursday, July 25th.†

First, right now, we have to not only promote it, but to gather items for our baskets from local vendors. Gift cards, products or services are needed.

Second, we have to try to get some golf participants. These 4-man teams come from various unusual places - community police departments, local businesses, friends that you know who Golf, and other organizations that you have helped, to name a few.† So take some brochures at the meeting or from print them from the Marines Care website and see if you can round up a few golfers.

Third, and for now, there will be some little jobs that will make this event a success. So, when John or Char ask for your help, volunteer as the jobs arenít that hard and youíll have a good time at the outing. †

Remember, this is our largest fund-raiser to help our veterans and their families.† If you can give a minimum of 3 hours on the day of the Golf outing you can help make this a success.† We would also like to see you come to the dinner and support the event if you are not a Golfer.† Dinner only is $60 pp.Thank you.
